Entering the Mind of the Tracker: Native Practices for Developing Intuitive Consciousness and Discovering Hidden Nature

By Tamarack Song

Bear & Company, 2013 | Creative Nonfiction

“Whether you are an experienced tracker seeking to improve your tracking ability, or a novice tracker, intimidated by the left-brained science of conventional tracking, Entering the Mind of the Tracker opens up doorways of new possibilities and exciting opportunities to connect with the story of the land.”

— Thomas J. Elpel, author of Botany in a Day

I performed many rounds of developmental content editing while this book was coming together and, later, copyediting and proofreading before it was shopped around to various agents and publishers. I helped craft the book proposal, which garnered Tamarack Song a book agent for the first time. It was originally accepted for publication by Shambhala Publications in 2011.
